Seth Rollins’ Injury May Not Be The Reason Behind WWE Betrayal

WWE Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins might be seriously injured, but there might be a whole other reason WWE chose to have The Vision betray him on Raw.

Seth Rollins had the world at his feet after Crown Jewel, where he defeated Cody Rhodes for the Crown Jewel Title. On the following edition of Raw, Seth Rollins kicked off the show, paying tribute to Paul Heyman and Bron Breakker before declaring Bronson Reed as the new Tribal Chief following his win over Roman Reigns.

However, by the end of the night, he probably wished he hadn’t bothered.

The night’s main event saw CM Punk defeat LA Knight and Jey Uso to become the number one contender to the World Heavyweight Title. The Vision soon emerged to take out all three men and stand tall to close the show. But then Bron Breakker struck.

Breakker dropped Rollins with a huge spear, leaving Heyman completely shocked. Breakker told Reed to make his choice, and he stuck by Breakker and nailed Rollins with a Tsunami. They both then turned to Heyman to see what his next move was, and he raised their arms, signalling that he had betrayed Seth Rollins as well.

WWE Using Seth Rollins In Ratings Ploy?

Reports have suggested that Rollins is suffering an injury after photos of the star with his arm in a sling emerged online. One move Rollins pulled off at Crown Jewel might be behind the injury, but it remains to be seen how serious the situation is.

However, WWE might have had another reason for pulling the trigger on the turn. Writing in his Daily Update, Dave Meltzer noted the company might have acted since Raw was airing at a very unusual start time in the US due to it taking place in Perth, Australia:

Whether that changed the booking due to the injury or the booking changed based on a hot shot angle because most likely RAW today with its early start time would have done the lowest rating in the show’s history so they wanted something to make people tune in, that could be the case.
