Seth Rollins Shares Important Health Update Ahead Of WWE WrestleMania
Seth Rollins revealed some more information about his recovery from a shoulder injury.
A lot has changed since Seth Rollins last competed in a WWE ring. The former 6-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion was holding Raw’s World Title at Crown Jewel last October when he beat Cody Rhodes in a match between WWE’s two top champions.
During that Crown Jewel match, Seth Rollins did a coast-to-coast headbutt that saw him land hard on his left shoulder. That led to a shoulder injury, which required surgery, and Rollins has been out of the ring for over six months because of it.
When Rollins was hurt, he was holding a major championship and a hated heel. Now that he’s back, Rollins is a popular babyface without a title, and he’s looking to get a big win at WrestleMania.
At the Elimination Chamber PLE in February, Rollins attacked Logan Paul in the Chamber match to show that he was feeling a lot better.
Rollins would eventually be cleared to return to the ring, and he was also attacked by Gunther, whom Rollins will face at WrestleMania 42.
On ESPN’s First Take, Seth Rollins admitted he didn’t share his health progress fully prior to Elimination Chamber because he obviously wanted it to be a surprise when he returned that night.
“I don’t know if it’s been fine for weeks and I got to apologize, but look, if I gave it all away to you right there, then I wouldn’t have been able to get into the Chamber and make sure that Logan Paul didn’t win the Elimination Chamber match.
So, in reality, by lying to you, I have done you a favor because I have saved us all the trouble of seeing Logan Paul in a title match at WrestleMania.”
Seth Rollins Feels He Is “Good Enough” To Win At WrestleMania 42
Regarding the health of his surgically repaired shoulder, Seth Rollins gave a positive update.
“So, thankfully, as for the shoulder, it feels great. I don’t know that it’s 100%, but maybe 80–90% and I’ll tell you what, my 80–90% is pretty good.”
Looking ahead to WrestleMania, Rollins made it clear he feels good enough to face Gunther.
“Good enough to get us in a position here where we’ve got a match at WrestleMania. You mentioned it against Gunther who has targeted me actually in the last couple of weeks… So, we’re going to find out this Saturday night at WrestleMania who the best really is. And I can’t wait.”
