Saraya’s Wrestling Future To Be Decided By AEW Doctor

Saraya makes her entrance at AEW Grand Slam Dynamite 2022

A new report has shed some light on what it might take for Saraya to be able to wrestle for AEW.

Saraya made her AEW debut on the September 21st Dynamite Grand Slam episode at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City. Following an AEW Women’s Title Fatal 4-Way match, Toni Storm & Athena were attacked by Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter & Rebel. Some new music played leading to Saraya making her entrance and letting AEW fans know that “this is my house.”

Wrestling fans know Saraya for her nearly decade-long run in WWE using the name Paige. Sadly, Saraya has been able to wrestle since late 2017 due to a serious neck injury.

It was reported by the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer that Saraya will be able to wrestle for AEW if she’s cleared by Dr. Michael Sampson:

“Saraya will be making a statement on Wednesday which would likely talk about her AEW direction. If she will wrestle or not would depend on Dr. Michael Sampson and his ruling about what she can and can’t do physically.”

After her WWE in-ring career was put on hold, the former WWE Divas Champion spent her time as a Smackdown General Manager, she also managed The Kabuki Warriors and appeared regularly on the FS1 show WWE Backstage as well. Saraya’s WWE contract expired earlier this year.
