Sami Zayn Match Announced For WWE Raw on March 6th

Sami Zayn has been announced for a big match coming up on the March 6th edition of Raw taking place in Boston as we continue on the Road to WrestleMania 39.

It has been an emotional start to 2023 for Sami Zayn after he was kicked out of The Bloodline at the Royal Rumble when he refused to join the group in beating up his best friend Kevin Owens.

Since then, The Bloodline has been in disarray since Jey Uso has remained distant from the group while the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has threatened his cousin Jimmy Uso to get Jey back in the group or Jimmy might have to pay for it.

At Elimination Chamber, Sami Zayn fell short in his attempt to beat Roman Reigns for the WWE & Universal Titles although it was a controversial finish like most of Roman’s matches are.

This past Friday on Smackdown, Zayn lost a match to Solo Sikoa because Jimmy pulled his brother Solo out of the way of Zayn’s Helluva Kick attempt. That allowed Solo to hit a Samoan Spike for the win. After the match, Zayn fought off the two brothers and got away without taking another beating.

After Smackdown, Sami Zayn appeared on the Smackdown LowDown to talk about how he used to be very close with Jimmy Uso in The Bloodline since Jimmy was the one that accepted him the most while Roman Reigns and Jey Uso doubted Zayn. However, now Jimmy is against Zayn, so Sami challenged Jimmy to a match on Monday’s Raw in Boston on March 6th.

WWE later confirmed the match between Sami and Jimmy with this writeup on their website:

“After failing to take out Sami Zayn on Friday Night SmackDown, Jimmy Uso will go head-to-head with the one-time “Honorary Uce” this Monday on Raw. Jimmy is surely feeling the pressure against Zayn after Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns connected Jey Uso’s recent estrangement with the actions of The Master Strategist and indicated that he will blame Jimmy if Jey doesn’t return to SmackDown next week.”

“Zayn is a problem that refuses to go away and he has the entire WWE Universe behind him in his struggle. But how long can he repel The Bloodline’s overwhelming opposition.”
