Roxanne Perez Cleared For NXT Stand & Deliver

Roxanne Perez

The NXT Women’s Championship will be defended by the champion at NXT Stand & Deliver after all as Roxanne Perez reveals she’s cleared to wrestle.

After Roxanne Perez Perez retained her title against former NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura recently she collapsed in the ring and was eventually placed on a stretcher before being taken away in an ambulance.

While the collapse is believed to be part of an ongoing storyline that has long-time fans reminded of a similar situation Shawn Michaels went through in the mid-nineties, a new report suggests things might be more complicated than that.

Reports had suggested that despite the storyline nature of the collapse there had been a real concern in WWE over Perez’s health although the situation surrounding what exactly the concern boiled down to was described as “vague.”

With Perez potentially unable to compete at NXT Stand & Deliver, Shawn Michaels had announced a ladder match for the NXT Women’s Championship with the champion possibly not being part of it. However, on the March 28th edition of NXT television Perez told Michaels that she had been cleared to compete after suffering from exhaustion and anxiety.

The Heartbreak Kid remained hesitant but eventually added Roxanne Perez to the match, allowing her to defend her championship.
