Ronda Rousey Criticises WWE Over Booking Of Fellow Star

Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey has claimed a fellow star is “one of the best people” on SmackDown and criticised WWE’s handling of her.

During her regular ‘Baddest Stream on the Planet’, a viewer asked Ronda Rousey about her friend and fellow SmackDown star Shayna Baszler.

In response, Rousey agreed with the fan that Baszler is one of the “best people on the show” before calling on WWE to “get their sh*t together” in their handling of her.

“You’re totally right about Shayna being one of the best people on the show, I need them to get their sh*t together and realize it.”

Shayna Baszler first appeared in WWE back in August 2017 when she took part in the Mae Young Classic, reaching the final before being defeated by Kairi Sane.

That October, WWE announced Baszler had signed a contract with the company and she became a force to be reckoned with on NXT. For the next two years, she dominated the Black and Gold brand’s women’s division, becoming a two-time NXT Women’s Champion in the process.

After moving to the main roster in 2020, Shayna Baszler ran roughshod over Raw before being defeated by Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 36. Despite a strong start and winning the Women’s Tag Team Titles twice, Baszler has not reached the same heights as her initial NXT run on the main roster.

Most recently, she battled Liv Morgan for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Clash at the Castle, but was unable to overcome Morgan and left the event empty-handed.
