Roman Reigns Confirmed For WWE Several RAW Appearances Prior To WrestleMania 42

Roman Reigns will appear more often on WWE Monday Night RAW on the road to WrestleMania 42.

On the February 2nd edition of WWE Monday Night Raw in Philadelphia, the Men’s Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns informed CM Punk that he would challenge him for the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas on April 18-19.

The promo segment between Reigns and Punk was praised heavily, with Punk mocking Reigns for not working full-time, while Reigns claimed Punk worked full-time because he felt bad about leaving WWE for ten years. Reigns had the final word by telling Punk that he picked him over WWE Champion Drew McIntyre because Reigns hates Punk.

While fans enjoyed the segment, many people also wondered how often the part-timer Reigns would appear on Raw to build up his WrestleMania 42 match with Punk.

There is good news on that front because WWE announced on social media that Reigns will appear on 5 of the 10 Raw episodes before WrestleMania.

  • March 2 in Indianapolis, Indiana
  • March 16 in San Antonio, Texas
  • March 23 in Boston, Massachusetts
  • March 30 in New York, New York
  • April 13 in Sacramento, California

It’s worth noting that none of Reigns’ Raw appearances is before the Elimination Chamber PLE in Chicago on February 28. It has been reported that CM Punk is likely defending the World Heavyweight Title against Finn Balor at Elimination Chamber, but it’s not official yet. It would be a surprise if Punk were to lose his title before WrestleMania.

Roman Reigns Enjoys Talking Trash

During a recent Vlog on WWE’s YouTube channel, Roman Reigns explained why he has no problem criticizing the creative team or even his fellow WWE superstars.

“This is what we do, man. We talk s**t and then we find a way to find that solution and it usually happens out there [in the ring]. Nobody who has been here for a long time has thin skin. You just learn, that’s just what it is.

We’re all thick skinned alphas here. You’re going to hear a lot of stuff, you’re going to hear a lot of jabs here and there. When it comes to it, I’m the slyest with it. I’ll sit there and pepper you without you even knowing. But nah, it is what it is.”

In the opinion of the Tribal Chief, he has paid his dues, and he has earned the right to say what he wants.

“When you’ve been here and you’ve done what I’ve done, you built that equity to share your opinion. I shit I think and the shit I say matters, you know what I mean? I earned that.

Nobody gave it to me, I had to take it. It wasn’t easy. That’s what everybody thinks. It’s, ‘oh, he’s gone’ — it was not easy when I got here. John Cena, Randy Orton, Big Show, Kane, sweetheart but still, I had to pry this shit from the grips of the veterans. Nobody else did it but me. I say what I want.”
