Roman Reigns has commented ahead of his WWE TV return this week on Smackdown.

The last time that the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns appeared on WWE television was on Raw after WrestleMania on April 3rd. That was 39 days. Tonight on Smackdown in Knoxville, the Tribal Chief is back.

Roman Reigns last wrestled at WrestleMania 39 when he defeated Cody Rhodes to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Title. Reigns got an assist from his cousin Solo Sikoa.

While no match has been announced yet, Reigns is expected to be in action at Night of Champions on May 27th in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. We could find out his opponent as soon as tonight’s Smackdown since the show is two weeks away.

During part one of the WWE Draft on April 28th, Roman Reigns was drafted to Smackdown along with his cousin Solo Sikoa and the “Wise Man” Paul Heyman. The Usos were also drafted to Smackdown on the following episode of Raw, so the entire Bloodline remains intact on Smackdown.

Since WrestleMania, The Usos have alluded to not being able to talk to Reigns since he was upset that they lost the WWE Tag Team Titles to Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn at WrestleMania. In addition to that, The Usos lost their rematch against the champions.

It has been teased by Heyman that Reigns may instruct Solo to beat up The Usos due to their lack of success of late. The brother trio of The Usos and Solo did beat Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn & Matt Riddle in a six-man tag team match this past Saturday at Backlash.

In a tweet posted on Thursday night, Roman Reigns made it clear that “Smackdown’s Daddy comes home” this week on Smackdown.

“The Tribal Chief. The Head of the Table. The ☝🏽& ONLY Undisputed WWE Universal HEAVYWEIGHT Champion in WWE. Aka #SmackDown ‘s Daddy. Comes home…Tomorrow night!”

Considering Roman Reigns and his wife have five children at home, including two sets of twin boys, it is fitting for him to call himself “daddy” in a statement like that.

In addition to Roman Reigns returning on Smackdown tonight, the blue brand also has two triple threat matches and a final match in the Smackdown portion of the new World Heavyweight Title tournament. Those two triple threat matches are:

* AJ Styles vs. Edge vs. Rey Mysterio

* Bobby Lashley vs. Sheamus vs. Austin Theory

The winners of those matches will meet later on Smackdown in a singles match. The winner of that singles match will face Raw’s Seth Rollins at Night of Champion on May 27th to crown the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
