Roman Reigns is heading into WrestleMania 42 as CM Punk’s challenger.

Reigns vs. Punk has been booked for the main event WrestleMania 42’s Night 2.

Roman Reigns’ WWE status after WrestleMania 42

An online rumour had suggested that The OTC would retire from in-ring wrestling after The Show of Shows at Las Vegas on April 18th and 19th, 2026.

Sean Ross Sapp debunked that rumour, revealing that Roman Reigns is not retiring after WrestleMania 42.

On the other hand, Reigns’ schedule for the Road to WrestleMania has him making five appearances. CM Punk and he came face-to-face on the latest episode of WWE RAW and things took an uncomfortable turn.

Punk ended the promo by claiming that he would bury Reigns beside his Late father. Punk got called out over it, and reminded that Roman Reigns can bring up a haunting memory from Punk’s past to get even.

The feud between Reigns and Punk had been brewing for a while, but last year, they were put in a Triple Threat including Seth Rollins. This time, fans get to find out who is the better Paul Heyman guy!
