Roman Reigns Passes Huge Milestone As Champion

With his epic victory in the main event of SummerSlam, Roman Reigns has now smashed past another major milestone as Unified WWE Universal Champion.

SummerSlam 2022 saw what was billed as the final chapter in the years-long rivalry between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns as the two powerhouses went at it one last time in a Last Man Standing Match for the Unified WWE Universal Title.

In what was a typically hard-hitting match, Brock Lesnar looked to take things to another level as he drove a front loader tractor to the ring for his entrance. At one point Lesnar placed Reigns in the front loader and lifted him high in the chair before dumping him in the ring.

The tractor action was not over there however as Lesnar used the tractor to first move the ring before tipping it high in the air with Roman Reigns still inside.

Ultimately Brock Lesnar and his tractor were no match for Reigns and The Usos who made their presence felt in helping their Tribal Chief attain victory. Roman Reigns finally managed to keep Lesnar down for a ten count when he and The Usos buried Lesnar in all manner of ringside furniture.

That victory ensured that Roman Reigns sailed passed the milestone of 700 days as a world champion as his Universal Title reign fast approaches two years.

This is the sixth longest world title reign in company history and the longest since Hulk Hogan’s first WWE Championship reign came to an end in February 1988.

If Roman Reigns wants to keep his title reign going to 800 days he will first have to get past the challenge of Drew McIntyre at WWE Clash At The Castle in Cardiff.
