Roman Reigns Gets Stunned On RAW, Triple H Confirms His WWE Future: “No Higher Stakes”

Triple H made Roman Reigns’ WWE future official after a massive challenge was made on the most recent episode of RAW.

Roman Reigns has been in a feud with Jacob Fatu ever since winning the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42. At Backlash 2026, Fatu challenged Roman for the World title but failed to capture it. The Samoan Werewolf continued to assault Reigns despite losing. The personal rivalry continued, as Jacob laid out The OTC yet again last week, along with The Usos.

This week on RAW, Jacob Fatu was confronted by The Usos, as the Bloodline storyline dynamic continues. The segment turned into chaos, as The Samoan Werewolf took out Jimmy and Jey before Roman showed up. For the first time in weeks, Roman stood tall over Jacob thanks to The Usos. While Roman, Jimmy, and Jey were walking out of the arena, Jacob stunned Reigns by challenging him for a Tribal Combat match at the Clash in Italy PLE. The OTC accepted the challenge without any hesitation.

After the challenge was accepted on RAW, the WWE CCO, Triple H made it official through the X social media platform that Roman Reigns will defend his World Heavyweight title against Jacob Fatu in a Tribal Combat at Clash in Italy later this month. The Game also issued the following statement in the official announcement:

No higher stakes for the family. No bigger mountain to climb. Roman Reigns. Jacob Fatu. For the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the title of Tribal Chief… In a TRIBAL COMBAT MATCH. #WWEClash”

Jacob Fatu explains real-life relationship with Roman Reigns

Amid their personal onscreen feud, Jacob Fatu recently revealed how he is actually related to Roman Reigns according to the Anoa’i Bloodline family tree. Speaking with Cheap Heat, Jacob disclosed that Roman is actually his uncle, as his grandmother was the sister of Reigns’ father:

He’s really my uncle. Roman Reigns’ father, Sika – half of the greatest tag team, The Wild Samoans. Afa and Sika have a sister – my grandmother. That would make Roman my uncle.”

Jacob Fatu also recalled how he used to play with Roman and The Usos when they were young:

My first Christmas, my first birthday, my first holidays were with the Usos. I’ve known Roman since we were young. You knew they were gonna be somebody; you just felt it!. Man, you felt it so much to where damn, it kinda rubbed off on us, you know what I mean?”

It remains to be seen if Jacob Fatu manages to capture the world title from Roman Reigns at Clash in Italy.
