Roman Reigns Clarifies Why WWE Needs Him To Win Royal Rumble 2026
Roman Reigns has one clear goal going into the 2026 WWE Men’s Royal Rumble match.
The Original Tribal Chief only won one single Royal Rumble match in his career, 11 years ago. He has since finished as runner-up on four occasions.
Although he has been off television since November, it was announced on SmackDown that the former Undisputed WWE Champion has declared for this year’s Royal Rumble match.
Roman Reigns Reveals His Plans For WWE Royal Rumble
In a recent interview with Pat McAfee on The Pat McAfee Show on ESPN, Roman Reigns was asked about his plans going into the Royal Rumble, especially after it was revealed that all members of The Vision will compete in the match.
The OTC disclosed that he feels that it is time for him to win again, claiming that the company needs him to emerge victorious.
I didn’t come all the way out here for nothing. You know what I mean? From Miami, this is a long travel day. So, yeah, I mean, I haven’t been able to pull this off in what, over 10 years now. For the longest, I felt like I was like the gatekeeper, the runner-up guy. You know, they would spam me and try to get that big pop for the babyface or whatever.
But, I don’t know. This feels like me. It feels like me and I think there’s so many different, you know, fingers and different signs pointing to this. I think we’re at a place where our fans ae demanding more. You know what I mean? I set us up. I put us in position, you know, to be fulfilled in teh promised land, to be in a position to break records and make ungodly amount of money. And we’re at that point that our fans are craving that. And they already know it’s a proof of concept with me. They know what they’re getting with me, man. [1:23 onwards]
