Ric Flair Says Nobody In AEW Is Irreplacable

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has commented on the predicament AEW currently finds itself in but says “everybody could be replaced” in the company.

AEW is in a state of turmoil with former champion CM Punk and EVPs The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega currently serving suspensions for their part in a backstage brawl that followed All Out.

Now Ric Flair has commented on the situation on his To Be The Man podcast. The Nature Boy touted the upswing in ratings the company has seen since the incident and says it’s a sign that nobody is above being replaced:

“That show that AEW had last week, after all this stuff between Punk and The Bucks and whoever they had involved. The show they had last week was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen them produce.”

“I knew everybody on the show, and they got over a million viewers. So it just goes to show you everybody could be replaced. Now Jericho had a hell of a match with Jon Moxley. […] Shoot, I can’t remember all of it but anyway, it was a hell of a show. I know everybody on it, and for the people that are in disagreement with each other right now weren’t on the show. And they still did over a million viewers.”

“So good for them and they stay on track like that, the storylines that everybody can follow. That’s how they catch up to WWE. They did almost 1.1 and on WWE 1.6, of course, against NFL so that to me, that’s the path they need to follow, not worry about what’s going on backstage, which apparently they’re not.”
