Ric Flair: “Never Say Never” About One More Match

Ric Flair

Ric Flair is using a very popular phrase in pro wrestling to tease yet another potential match.

The “Nature Boy” Ric Flair took part in an event called “Ric Flair’s Last Match” this past July during WWE’s SummerSlam weekend in Nashville. Flair was in a tag team match with son-in-law Andrade El Idolo against the team of Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett. Flair and Andrade won the match as you would expect.

After the match, the 73-year-old Flair spoke on his podcast about making a “drastic mistake” saying that he didn’t hydrate well to prepare for the match.

“It’s not that I couldn’t, I will stand by this, I wish I hadn’t said it was my last match. But I don’t want to disappoint a bunch of fans by doing it again. But I got myself into good shape and then I, made one drastic, what turned out to be drastic mistake by not hydrating, but I feel great.”

In addition to that, there were reports after the show that Flair passed out twice during the match, which is obviously a great sign. Considering Flair’s serious health scare in 2017, there was a lot of concern about him stepping into the ring again.

While speaking to TMZ, Flair said the popular “never say never” phrase that all wrestlers tend to say about wrestling another match because in pro wrestling, you just never know.

“I don’t know. I’ve already promised [I was done] once. Right now, I’m not doing anything. But, never say never.”

The two-time WWE Hall of Famer Flair also spoke about his business with Mike Tyson, he reacted to Joe Rogan criticizing the Figure Four Leglock and even joked about wrestling Sasha Banks too. He was clearly joking about that.
