Ric Flair Discusses Possibility Of Return To WWE

Ric Flair poses on entrance ramp

Ric Flair has opened up on what his reaction would be if he was given a path back to WWE.

‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair’s last run with WWE finished in August 2021. Having been involved in the storyline between Lacey Evans and his daughter Charlotte Flair, everything came to an abrupt end when Evans announced that she was pregnant and would be taking time away from the squared circle as a result.

Whilst everything was amicable when Flair left WWE, there was soon a cloud over him due to the release of the Dark Side Of The Ring documentary which featured ‘The Plane Ride From Hell’ in 2002. The aftermath of the documentary led to Flair being removed from the WWE intro for a period of time, although he was later reinstated.

In a discussion on a recent edition of his To Be The Man podcast, Ric Flair opened up on whether he believes a return to WWE could be on the cards at some point as well as discussing the documentary being made about him, which is set for release between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I don’t know what I would do. I’d love to be a part of the company and do stuff with them, but I don’t know.

It’s funny, they’re doing this huge documentary on me now that’ll air Thanksgiving week or the week before Christmas. I think they’re leaning towards Thanksgiving. Some names going around, but I think it’s called Finding Flair.

This will be better than my 30 For 30 on ESPN, because I made them promise me that whatever I said they wouldn’t edit. I’m not gonna do something that’s gonna be edited again.

‘The Nature Boy’ went on to talk about how honest he was as part of this new documentary.

It’s been passionate and man, I expressed everything that was good or bad in my life. I discussed my personal life, my personal problems, family problems, wrestling problems, issues with people that I’ve had. I just answered questions, and I answered them as truthfully as I could.

Although a return to WWE would likely not be an in-ring role, Ric Flair has noted recently that although he had his advertised final match earlier this year there is still a chance he will lace up the boots again. However, he would be looking to change the “drastic mistake” he made for that contest.
