Rhea Ripley Suffers Frightening Injury, WWE Future Uncertain

Rhea Ripley WWE

In wrestling, no matter how much a wrestler tries to protect themselves, safety is not always guaranteed.

There’s no question that Rhea Ripley is a monster performer in the squared circle, and also considered one of the safest wrestlers to work with.

Unfortunately for the 29-year-old, she sustained a serious injury during WWE’s recent tour to Japan, resulting in her being escorted out by the medical staff.

Night 2 of the tour on October 18 saw Ripley featured in a four-way match against Stephanie Vaquer, Raquel Rodriguez, and Iyo Sky.

At one point, Rodriguez lifted Sky and threw her at The Eradicator outside the ring. Ripley and Sky collided, leaving the former busted open.

Rhea Ripley seemed dazed, with the WWE medical staff immediately rushing out to assist her. In the pictures shared online, she looks disoriented and bloodied.

The former Women’s World Champion did not let the injury dampen her mood, as she shared a video update on her social media account with a witty caption.

Thank you Japan 😂 I still love you!

Could WWE Tie Rhea Ripley’s RAW Beatdown To Injury?

On this week’s WWE RAW, Rhea Ripley endured a beatdown at the hands of The Kabuki Warriors.

The Australian superstar faced Kairi Sane in a singles match in Perth, but found herself on the defensive for most of the time.

However, she managed to turn the momentum around and won by hitting a Riptide.

After the match, a fight broke out between Ripley and Asuka outside the ring. Just as she was about to put The Empress of Tomorrow through the announcer’s table, Sane attacked her with a Kendo Stick.

Asuka then hit a DDT on Rhea Ripley, leaving her laid out.

As of this moment, WWE has not officially addressed her condition. Whether or not they write this injury into the upcoming RAW taping remains to be seen.

Furthermore, the seriousness of the injury will also decide if she gets featured on Saturday Night’s Main Event XLI on November 1.
