Rhea Ripley Won’t Overlook WrestleMania 41 Opponent

Rhea Ripley had made it clear she isn’t looking past one of her WrestleMania 41 opponents.

There has been chaos on Monday Night Raw regarding the WWE Women’s World Title situation ever since Iyo Sky beat Rhea Ripley to win the title on the March 3rd edition of Raw. During the match, Elimination Chamber match winner Bianca Belair was at ringside, Ripley was distracted by her, and they even had a shoving match. Sky took advantage of the chaos to beat Ripley and win the title.

After losing her title, Ripley did everything she could to get involved in the Iyo Sky-Bianca Belair WrestleMania 41 match.

It was announced by Raw GM Adam Pearce on the April 7th edition of Raw that Rhea Ripley would be added to the Sky-Belair match to make it a triple threat match for the Women’s World Title at WrestleMania 41.

In an interview with The Takedown on SI, the former Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley knows that her issues with Bianca Belair have gotten a lot of attention, but Ripley also knows that the champion Sky is a huge threat.

“I don’t want to say we’re overlooking IYO, because we’re not. We know that she’s a threat. We know what she’s capable of. Hell, I’ve never beat her in a one-on-one competition. I know exactly what IYO brings to the table.”

Rhea Ripley Has Wanted A Huge Singles Match With Bianca Belair

When it comes to Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley spoke about how they have both had impressive runs on the main roster with huge WrestleMania wins and multiple title reigns, but Ripley wants that one-on-one match with Belair.

“I feel like when it comes to me and Bianca, what we’ve been saying over the last two, three, four years is we’ve wanted to face each other at WrestleMania. We’ve wanted it to be a one-on-one thing.”

“We’ve accomplished so much. We’ve been on opposite brands, but still kind of in line with each other and taking over and being the faces of those brands and the women’s divisions.”

As she continued, Ripley spoke about her mindset going into WrestleMania 41.

“The story is getting spicy. I know a lot of people online don’t want to realize what’s going on, because they hate me or whatever it is. People are going to feel whatever they want to feel. I’m not going to argue with 16 year-olds on the internet, but that’s the story.

And I mean, going into WrestleMania 41, I feel like, yes, I’m going to be focusing on Bianca, because she screwed me out of my opportunity twice now by being there and wanting to be a part of the spotlight and taking that away from me when she knows how much this opportunity meant to me.”

WWE has yet to officially announce what day the Women’s World Title match will take place, but it has been reported that the Iyo Sky-Bianca Belair-Rhea Ripley triple threat match will likely take place on WrestleMania Sunday, August 20th, in Las Vegas.
