Rhea Ripley & Iyo Sky React To Huge WWE SmackDown Loss

Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY are looking ahead after losing the Women’s Tag Team Titles on WWE SmackDown.

The Women’s Tag Team Titles were on the line on the February 27th edition of SmackDown in Louisville as Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY continued to be fighting champions.

In a rematch of a match from a few weeks earlier, Ripley and Sky faced the Irresistible Forces team of Nia Jax and Lash Legend. While the heel duo of Jax and Legend have been known to cheat in the past, they actually fought fair this time around, and Legend hit Ripley with the Lash Extension for the pinfall win.

After the match, Legend and Jax celebrated as the new Women’s Tag Team Champions. For Legend, it’s the first championship win of her WWE career. As for Jax, the former 2-time Women’s Champion is now a 3-time Women’s Tag Team Champion, having held the titles twice with Shayna Baszler.

IYO SKY Encourages Rhea Ripley Ahead Of WWE Elimination Chamber

The RHIYO team of Ripley and Sky held the Women’s Tag Team Titles for 53 days. While that’s not a long title reign, they were fighting champions and did pick up some significant wins along the way.

Writing on X/Twitter, Rhea Ripley apologized to her tag team partner.

Responding to that, Sky told Ripley she didn’t need to apologize.

At WWE Elimination Chamber on February 28th, Rhea Ripley is in the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match, while Iyo Sky did not qualify. On X/Twitter, Sky posted a message of support for Ripley.
