Rhea Ripley Doesn’t Think Dominik Mysterio “Gets The Credit He Deserves”

SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio have become one of WWE’s more unlikely success stories in recent years.

Dominik Mysterio’s WWE career began in earnest when he was thrust into a match with Seth Rollins at SummerSlam 2020 in the midst of Rollins’ feud with Rey Mysterio. In the spring of 2021, The Mysterios captured the SmackDown Tag Team Championship and while Dominik improved in the ring week after week, the WWE fans as a whole weren’t exactly enthusiastic about the young star.

Then at Clash at the Castle in September 2022, Dominik Mysterio did the unthinkable, he turned on his father Rey Mysterio and Edge to join forces with The Judgment Day. Since then, the hold that Rhea Ripley has over the young star has been the focus of much of the group’s shenanigans. And in a world where visceral hatred and booing are better than ambivalence, the relationship has worked well for Mysterio as he is now one of the most disliked stars on the entire WWE roster.

Speaking to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Rhea Ripley commented on Dominik Mysterio’s growth in WWE and says she believes he still doesn’t get the credit he deserves for making his own way in the business:

“Seeing Dom’s growth in the past few months has been incredible. He’s paving his own path. That’s really inspiring to me. I don’t think people give him the credit he deserves.”

While Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio give people in all companies plenty to talk about it seems their Judgment Day teammates Finn Balor and Damian Priest might have gold in their sights after they took on WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins on Raw.
