Rey Mysterio Considering Retirement

Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio may soon be saying goodbye to WWE, and professional wrestling altogether.

Earlier on WWE Friday Night Smackdown, Rey Mysterio approached Paul “Triple H” Levesque backstage, saying that he outright refuses to fight his son Dominik Mysterio. However, the conversation between the two would take a deeper turn, with Mysterio saying that he is considering retirement because he just can’t come around to having to fight his son one day.

After Mysterio told Triple H how he was feeling, Triple H would start to talk Mysterio out of him considering retirement, eventually telling him to meet him in office for a conversation, which Mysterio complied.

Dominik Mysterio would join the Judgment Day at WWE Clash at the Castle, turning heel on his father Rey Mysterio and Edge in the process. Since then, it’s been weeks of Dominik Mysterio taunting his dad to him, with Rey Mysterio refusing. Also, Dominik Mysterio has been involved with several attacks from Judgment Day on both Rey Mysterio and Edge, as well as causing problems with AJ Styles.

Recently at WWE Extreme Rules, Dominik Mysterio would be involved with the Judgment Day in their attack on Edge, forcing him to say “I Quit” to lose the match against Finn Balor. Then, Rhea Ripley would smash Edge’s wife, Beth Phoenix, with a Con-Chair-To.
