Real Reason Behind Ex-Champion’s WWE Firing Revealed
WWE does not take physical altercations between wrestlers and fans lightly.
In the past, there have been incidents when, in the heat of the moment, wrestlers have confronted fans.
A similar event occurred recently, the subject being AAA veteran Nino Hamburguesa. The 30-year-old was competing at an independent show, where he elbowed a fan.
A video of the incident became viral online, sparking outrage among fans. The video led to Hamburguesa’s firing from the Mexican promotion.
Now, a report by Planchitas of the Mexican outlet RÉCORD reveals that the crowd at Arena Afición in Pachuca, Hidalgo, was unruly, as some fans in the front rows yelled insults at several wrestlers performing on the March 3 show.
As seen in videos that went viral on social media, the Hamburger Kid fell on some front-row fans… they also allegedly hit the wrestler on the back just as he fell into their seats, generating the gladiator’s reaction, which was a light elbow to a fan wearing an America shirt.
The fan, who cried victim, turned out to be a local social media influencer. He shared his version of the story, thus amplifying the seriousness of the issue, which resulted in the wrestler’s firing by WWE.
WWE Firing Nino Hamburguesa A Warning For Other Wrestlers
In its report, RÉCORD rightly raised the question about fan privilege when it comes to interacting with wrestlers, just because they pay for the tickets.
The report also confirmed that it was not AAA that fired Nino Hamburguesa, but the order came from the United States.
Now, regarding the firing of ‘El Niño Hamburguesa,’ it was an order that came from the United States from WWE, not from those still at AAA from the previous administration.
Some sources believe that the Stamford promotion’s action might be a warning for wrestlers.
Some sources tell me that the Hamburger Kid served as a kind of scapegoat… they seek to set a precedent and send a message to the rest of the rebellious wrestlers currently in Triple A that any situation — no matter how small — that goes against the values and rules of the company will cost them their job.
