Real Reason Behind Brock Lesnar’s WWE Return Delay

Brock Lesnar is back in WWE as he resumes hostilities with Cody Rhodes ahead of an expected third match between the two men at SummerSlam.

Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes’ issues date back to the night after WrestleMania 39 when Lesnar compounded Rhodes’ misery by attacking him viciously after originally agreeing to be his tag team partner for the night.

That led to a match between the two men at Backlash that Lesnar dominated but Cody Rhodes was able to escape with a win. A rematch took place at Night Of Champions which Brock Lesnar one by forcing the referee to stop the bout.

It had long been expected that The Beast Incarnate would be back to face The American Nightmare one more time in a rubber match between the two and now it looks like that will happen after Lesnar returned to WWE on Raw, getting physical with Rhodes once again.

WRKD Wrestling reported that Lesnar’s return was delayed due to other surprises on the Money In The Bank show after they previously reported that Lesnar would be returning in London:

“Plans had changed before Money In The Bank, with McIntyre and Cena returning, the thought process was that Brock’s return would be diminished after multiple other surprises in the evening. Brock has instead returned on #WWERaw.”

Drew McIntyre returned to WWE for the first time since WrestleMania 39 at Money In The Bank as he took out Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER. While John Cena made a shocking appearance to tease the London crowd with the possibility of WrestleMania one day coming to the city.
