Real-Life Beef Between Ex-WWE Champions Finally Over

Two former WWE champions have finally buried the hatchet after years of animosity.

Kaitlyn signed with the Stamford-based company 16 years ago. After only a few months in the promotion, the 39-year-old won season three of NXT, beating Naomi to the “Breakout Diva” award.

Following her win, Kaitlyn moved to the main roster, joining SmackDown. Over the next four years, the former Divas Champion shared the ring with several top female stars, including Layla.

Kaitlyn Opens Up About Her Beef With Layla In WWE

In a recent video she shared on her YouTube channel, Kaitlyn recalled her time in WWE, revealing that several top Divas gave her a hard time after her main roster call-up because they did not think she deserved to be there.

The 39-year-old admitted to having real beef with Layla during her WWE run, noting that they have finally buried the hatchet after meeting at a signing.

It was maybe two or three years since I had seen Layla. Layla, actually, when we were both still in the WWE, she left a few years before I did, and we had never really talked or caught up until a few years ago. We were actually booked for a signing with, and we were sharing a table. Her and I had a little bit of a beef in the past, like when I first got my contract, I had never wrestled before, and I was only with the company for about four weeks before I got pulled up on TV to debut on NXT season 3.

I got a lot of s**t from the locker room from some of the top women there because they didn’t feel like I deserved to be there. Though she was one of the Divas that gave me a hard time, we’ve since talked it out and worked it out, and we’re really cool now.
