Raquel Rodriguez On Being Nervous Ahead Of Her First Royal Rumble

Raquel Rodriguez

Raquel Rodriguez won’t let nerves get in her way when she enters her first Royal Rumble match.

Standing at six feet tall and weighing 177 pounds, Raquel Rodriguez may end up playing a big role in this Saturday’s Royal Rumble match. The match favors bigger wrestlers since they’re harder to eliminate.

And since very few women have been announced for the Women’s Royal Rumble match, Rodriguez might end up lasting quite a long time in the ring. That’s certainly a lot of pressure, especially since this will be her first Rumble match.

Speaking on WWE’s The Bump, Raquel Rodriguez discussed what’s going through her mind even now as she prepares mentally for the big match on January 28th.

“I’m feeling everything: nerves, excitement. Yeah, [I’m doing] my nervous dance. This is what I do when I get excited.

I’m feeling everything because it’s my first-ever Royal Rumble, the first one I’ll be participating in. And it’s in San Antonio, which is just a couple hours north of where I grew up and where I was raised, so my whole family is going to be here.

My cousins are going to be here. My teammates are going to be here. My coaches are going to be here.”

Aside from Raquel Rodriguez, the other women confirmed for the Women’s Royal Rumble match are: Liv Morgan, Candice LeRae, Rhea Ripley, Shayna Baszler, Zelina Vega, and Emma.
