Popular AEW Star Reveals Huge News On Their Future

Tony Khan AEW

One AEW star has revealed some good news about their future.

The future of several AEW stars has been the subject of a lot of discussion over the past few months. Fans have long wondered about the status of Britt Baker and why she’s been absent from the company for so long. More recently, it’s become increasingly apparent that Chris Jericho will make the jump back to WWE, bringing his time in Tony Khan’s company to an end.

Jericho’s deal was expected to expire at the end of 2025, but he is still listed on AEW’s roster page, so it remains to be seen just what his future holds.

There’s more immediate bad news for Tony Khan, as it seems a current champion is ready to make the jump to WWE. AEW Trios Champion Powerhouse Hobbs’ deal with AEW is believed to have expired on January 14th, leaving Hobbs free and clear to appear anywhere else, and it’s thought that WWE is his destination.

But among the doom and gloom, there is some good news.

Queen Aminata Staying With AEW

Speaking in a video posted on her YouTube channel, Queen Aminata revealed that she has had her AEW deal extended until February 2027 despite her being out with a neck injury:

AEW also extended my beautiful, juicy contract until February 2027. What can I say at this point? I’m happy. Even though my neck is messed up right now and I can’t wrestle, I’m very happy and very, very motivated. I can’t wait to get back.

Queen Aminata last wrestled back in October 2025 and was pulled from the first-ever women’s Blood & Guts match due to injury.
