Paul Heyman Breaks Silence On Possible Alliance With Top Female WWE Star
A top female WWE star wants Paul Heyman in her corner, and the WWE Hall of Famer has not said no.
Ahead of WrestleMania, the reigning WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill expressed interest in working alongside The Oracle. She is set to put her title on the line against Rhea Ripley at The Show of Shows.
During a recent appearance on 8 News Now in Las Vegas, the champion spoke about her long-term ambitions, including the possibility of stepping into intergender competition, inspired by WWE Hall of Famer Chyna. When asked who she would want in her corner for such a move, she didn’t hesitate to name Paul Heyman as her ideal manager, making her pitch clear and direct.
Paul Heyman responds to Jade Cargill’s manager pitch
Speaking on The Stephen A. Smith Show, Paul Heyman addressed Jade Cargill’s comments and didn’t shut the door on the idea, but he made it clear it’s not the right time yet.
I’m going to continue to let her ride the momentum by herself as a Women’s Champion for all of humanity to be proud of.
Let her get that solidified into the history books so that when, Jade Cargill unites with Paul Heyman you are seeing two superpowers of the universe come together instead of Paul Heyman endorsing a talent that at this time is not accepted by the public, though she should be, as a guaranteed first ballot Hall of Famer.
The Oracle continued, saying he is willing to manage The Storm but wants Cargill to succeed on her own, so that fans don’t credit him for her success.
Oh it’s not willing to it’s that I want her to have that on her own. I never want it to be that, ‘And then Paul Heyman stepped in and that’s when Jade Cargill really became a star.’ [H/T WrestleTalk]
Although Heyman managed Madusa during his time as Paul E. Dangerously in WCW in the late 1980s, he has never represented a female star throughout his entire run in ECW or WWE.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the former AEW star and whether she will be able to beat Mami and retain her Women’s Championship at The Grandest Stage of Them All.
