Oney Lorcan’s New WWE Role Confirmed

Oney Lorcan

After reports that Oney Lorcan has returned to WWE as a guest coach, it would seem there is further confirmation as to his current role with the company.

A former NXT Tag Team Champion alongside Danny Burch, many were surprised when Oney Lorcan was released by WWE on 4th November 2021, something which he requested himself.

Following reports earlier in the week that Lorcan was back at the WWE Performance Center as a guest coach, the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that his return to the company is actually in a full-time capacity.

There were stories about Oney Lorcan (Chris Girard, 36), working as a guest coach this week at the Performance Center. When asked about it, we were told he’s not a guest coach and has been there for a while as a full-time coach.

This would certainly not be the first person to return to the company under the new management regime, both in terms of on-screen performers and those in various roles backstage. The Road Dogg has now been brought back in to work alongside long-time friend Triple H, with the pair both also set to appear as part of the D-Generation X 25 Year Anniversary celebrations on the upcoming edition of Monday Night Raw.

As well as staff members, there have been plenty of surprise in-ring returns including the likes of Dakota Kai, Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae, whilst there are continued rumblings that Bray Wyatt is set for an imminent return to the company.
