Could Oba Femi join a new faction formed by a major WWE Superstar?

Oba Femi has been one of the fastest-rising stars in the Stamford-based company. After squashing a few opponents following his move to the main roster, The Ruler accepted Brock Lesnar’s open challenge for WrestleMania 42.

Over the past two weeks, the former NXT Champion dominated The Beast Incarnate, leading many to believe he could realistically come out on top at the Show of Shows.

The Vision To Cost Oba Femi His Match At WWE WrestleMania?

On the latest episode of the Notsam podcast, a fan suggested a scenario where The Vision would interfere to help Brock Lesnar defeat Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42. The fan added that The Ruler could then join Seth Rollins, who is currently feuding with Paul Heyman’s group, in a new faction led by The Visionary.

WWE analyst Sam Roberts quickly turned down the pitch, explaining why it was a bad idea.

I don’t like this at all. You know, I don’t. I mean, to think that you watch Oba Femi right now and go, ‘Oh, he should be like an enforcer in a faction,’ that’s crazy. Oba Femi is already a one of one. Go back to ’02. Imagine putting Brock Lesnar in a faction. No, no, no, no, no. I don’t think that would work at all.

I think Oba’s already, I mean, he’s the guy. Why would Oba be anybody’s second? Why would Oba be in Seth’s faction? Like, Oba’s doing his own thing. It’s one thing to get along with Seth. It’s one thing for Seth to know he’s coming out. It’s one thing to maybe even have Seth’ back. But Oba’s not following anybody. [1:08:56 onwards]
