Oba Femi opens up about his retirement plans.

The former NXT Champion is scheduled to face Brock Lesnar at WWE WrestleMania 42. He accepted Lesnar’s open challenge on the March 16 episode of Monday Night Raw, where he decimated The Beast Incarnate during the kickoff segment.

Oba, 27, has only recently begun his wrestling career, yet he has already mapped out his long-term future. Ahead of his highly anticipated clash with Lesnar, Oba Femi sat down with Stephanie McMahon on What’s Your Story? on March 19. During the discussion, he spoke about his long-term plans and when he intends to retire from in-ring competition.

Oba Femi Plans To Retire At The Age of 50

Oba revealed that he wants to wrestle until the age of 50 before stepping away to focus on his family and kids. He also shared that even after retiring from active competition, he would like to remain involved in the wrestling business, possibly giving back by becoming a mentor or trainer for future generation talents.

“I want to be a father when I’m 50. I know a lot of guys say they should be done by 50, but I don’t know — who knows. For now, I’ll go with that trend. I’d like to be done with wrestling by 50.”

“I see myself giving back at that point in my life in whatever capacity. Even with everything I’ve gone through or put out, I can still give that to someone else.”

“Hopefully that can be in wrestling too. Hopefully I’ve done it all so I have things in the tank to give back and train someone else and watch them become something too. I’m halfway there.”
