A current NXT star has won a major championship outside WWE.

At TNA Victory Road, Knockouts Champion Ash by Elegance relinquished her title, while she gave no reason for it. She was joined in the ring by Santino Marella and TNA President Carlos Silva.

Ash had won the title at NXT Heatwave by defeating Masha Slamovich and defending champion Jacy Jayne.

While Slamovich was scheduled to challenge the 36-year-old at Victory Road, the match was called off owing to domestic abuse allegations against Slamovich, resulting in TNA opening an investigation.

After Ash by Elegance relinquished her title, TNA wasted no time in announcing a 10-woman Knockout Battle Royal, which was won by NXT’s Kelani Jordan.

She later faced Lei Ying Lee for the vacant title. In the closing minutes of the match, Jordan hit Lee with her ‘One of a Kind’ split-legged moonsault finisher to capture the TNA gold.

After the match, Ash by Elegance joined her in celebrations.

Former NXT Champion Awaits Kelani Jordon At Bound For Glory

Former NXT Women’s Champion, Indi Hartwell, who is currently signed with TNA, will challenge Kelani Jordan at Bound for Glory.

Hartwell served as the special guest referee during the Battle Royal match at Victory Road.

It was decided well in advance that the Australian superstar would be the next challenger for the title.

Indi Hartwell was with the Stamford promotion since 2019. On July 3, 2024, she debuted on RAW with Candice LeRae.

She and LeRae challenged for tag team titles on both RAW and SmackDown in a losing cause. Hartwell was released the same year on November 1.

During her tenure, she became the NXT’s Tag Team Champion and the Women’s Champion once each.
