Released WWE Star Still Appears On SmackDown

Triple H WWE

WWE has cut its roster once again but one star has still appeared on SmackDown after their release from the company was announced.

Former WWE United States Champion Baron Corbin was told by WWE that his contract will not be renewed meaning his time in the company will come to an end when his current deal runs out. Fightful Select has reported that there is a belief that Corbin’s contract expires at the end of 2024.

Corbin was not the only exit, however, as both Tegan Nox and Indi Hartwell were also let go by WWE. Their releases come with the standard 90-day non-compete clauses.

Indi Hartwell On WWE SmackDown After Release

Tegan Nox had not been on WWE TV since April 2024 and had not competed in a match in the company since July. However, Indi Hartwell’s release might have come as more of a surprise as she was featured on SmackDown hours after her exit was revealed.

The 1st of November edition of SmackDown was taped the week prior due to Crown Jewel taking place in Saudi Arabia on November 2nd. That meant Hartwell’s last match had already happened as she teamed with Candice LeRae in a losing effort against Naomi and Bayley.

Hartwell will leave WWE as a former NXT Women’s Tag Team and NXT Women’s Champion but her run in the company will no doubt be best remembered for her on-screen relationship with Dexter Lumis that led to a wrestling wedding.
