In an era when new match stipulations are hard to come by, NJPW have come up with one of the more unique contests with the first ‘Who’s Your Daddy’ match.

New Japan Pro Wrestling will present Declaration Of Power at the Ryogoku Sumo Hall in October, with the company pointing to this event as having the same status as their King Of Pro Wrestling show has in previous years.

Shingo Takagi will defend his 2022 King Of Pro Wrestling crown at the event against against El Phantasmo of The Bullet Club. However, there is even more on the line for both men as whoever loses the contest will have to get on the microphone in front of the line and declare that the victor is their “daddy”.

Also confirmed for Declaration Of Power is ‘The Rainmaker’ Kazuchika Okada taking on former NXT North American Champion JONAH, whilst another black and gold brand alumni in KUSHIDA will take on Taiji Ishimori. Former Bullet Club member Jay White will also take on Tama Tonga, with the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship on the line.

Before all that can take place, NJPW returns to the United Kingdom this coming weekend, when they present Royal Quest II from Crystal Palace, London. The full eight-match card for both days has now been confirmed, and includes the first-time-ever contest between FTR and Aussie Open, as well as Tomohiro Ishii taking on JONAH.
