Bryan Danielson Kazuchika Okada AEW NJPW

NJPW Wrestle Kingdom will return on January 4th, 2024 from the Tokyo Dome, and the full line-up for the event has now been revealed.

Wrestle Kingdom is the biggest event in the NJPW calendar, with many referring to it as the Japanese promotion’s version of WrestleMania. The Wrestle Kingdom name itself only came into being in 2007 but the tradition of the January 4th show in the Tokyo Dome stretches all the way back to 1992.

Wrestle Kingdom 17 in 2023 saw Kazuchika Okada win the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship from Jay White in the main event. That marked the eighth time Okada had headlined the show. Also on that show, Kenny Omega defeated Will Ospreay in a classic to win the IWGP United States Championship.

The show will also be the first since Hiroshi Tanahashi was named NJPW’s new President and Representative Director.
