With speculation rife that Nick Aldis is on his way to WWE, there are reports he’s already in town for Monday Night Raw.
A former Impact and NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion, Nick Aldis’ exit from the National Wrestling Alliance came about in acrimonious fashion, with talk now that he is still owed money by the company.
However, the talk then quickly turned to where his next destination would be, with plenty suggesting that WWE would be the right fit for ‘The National Treasure’.
It would now seem that would be the case, as according to Pro Wrestling Insider Nick Aldis is backstage for the latest edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, which takes place in Minneapolis.
What Will Nick Aldis’ Role Be?
According to the PWI report, Nick Aldis isn’t set to be lacing his boots up with the company, but has instead been brought in as a producer. It suggests that he has already been lined up to perform the role on a number of upcoming TV events.
Aldis is a nineteen-year veteran that has been wrestling all over the American wresting circuit since 2004. He got his first big break in TNA/IMPACT as Brutus Magnus, but since the 2010s he has been wrestling under his real name. This would lead to having the experience for such a role.
This week’s edition of Monday Night Raw will have plenty to work with, coming straight off the back of SummerSlam. It’s likely that Cody Rhodes will be featured plenty on the red brand’s latest show, having picked up the victory in his rubber match with Brock Lesnar.
