MVP’s return to WWE seems to be over as quickly as it began. After being a surprise entry in the Royal Rumble match this past Sunday and losing to Rey Mysterio the following night on Raw, some believed that the 46-year-old MVP may be returning to the WWE roster.

MVP went on Instagram and quickly dispelled these rumors however, stating that his match against Mysterio will be his last for WWE.

Based on his comments above, MVP wants to keep wrestling for a bit longer, but that’s it for him in WWE.

MVP may not be done with WWE completely, however, as he recently went on Corey Graves Podcast After the Bell and threw out the idea of transitioning to a backstage role.

In the video below you can see how much it meant to him to have his son see him wrestle in WWE.

Matt’s Musing: Good time to call it a career as the 46-year-old MVP is getting too old to compete every week, and is still a few years too young to main event a Saudi Arabia show.
