New WWE Star Undergoing Surgery

Triple H WWE

WWE will be forced to wait to see a new star in action.

At NXT Stand & Deliver, Giulia was shown watching the action from ringside with William Regal and Rossy Ogawa before being introduced to the crowd. This was quickly followed by reports that she’d signed with the company after several months of heavy speculation.

Although there was no official comment from either side, the belief was that Giulia would help launch Ogawa’s new Marigold promotion before committing to WWE full-time. However, injury drama appears to have thrown a healthy dose of uncertainty into the mix.

During Marigold’s debut show, the star broke her wrist, putting a rumoured in-ring WWE debut at NXT Heatwave in jeopardy.

It’s been confirmed by Tokyo Sports that Giulia has now undergone surgery, with the star herself saying she was advised it was the quickest way to get back in the ring.

“That day, my arm bent in the opposite direction, and as a result, I broke a bone. I was told that surgery would be the fastest recovery, and I decided because I wanted to [wrestle against] Sareee in perfect condition,”

Giulia is scheduled to face Sareee on July 13th, but there’s no word on when she’ll be back in the ring.

WWE Has Huge Plans For Giulia

Despite her injury struggles, WWE is reportedly planning to make Giulia the face of the NXT women’s division. One source even claimed her time with the band could end up surpassing Asuka’s famous dominant, and unbeaten run between 2015 and 2017.

There have been suggestions the former STARDOM star will continue to juggle Marigold and WWE, but it was reported elsewhere those in Japan think she won’t debut in or around NXT Heatwave.
