Natalya Recalls What Triple H Told Her Going Into NXT Title Match

Wise words from Triple H have never been forgotten by Natalya, which she was given whilst preparing for an NXT Championship match.

At NXT TakeOver in 2014, Natalya and Charlotte Flair did battle in the final of the tournament to crown a first NXT Women’s Champion. A landmark moment for the brand, there was even more trust put in Natalya than could be seen during the match.

In an interview with the Faction 919 YouTube Channel, Natalya discussed what Triple H said to her when she asked for a specific detail about the match.

I asked him what my time limit was and he said to me, ‘You don’t have a time limit, just go out there and do your thing and just do the match you want to do. It was the very first time in my career that somebody said ‘you don’t have a time limit,’ and I always thanked Hunter for that. It was always sort of like one of those things where I’d never been trusted with something like that before.

Natalya is set for a period on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on her nose on 7th November. Having spent 15 years as a member of the WWE roster, she has the most wins of any woman in the company’s history, and is a former Divas Champion, SmackDown Women’s Champion, and Women’s Tag Team Champion.
