“My A** Is Showing” – Trish Stratus Recalls Shocking WWE Wardrobe Malfunction

Trish Stratus WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus has spelt out just how hard it is to be a female wrestler as they try to keep themselves contained.

In the world of wrestling, things can and do go wrong on a regular basis in the ring. Rey Mysterio recently suffered an apparent injury on Raw that caused the end of his match with Austin Theory to change. In more recent times, matches have been stopped due to injuries that previous generations might have just had to suck it up and get through regardless.

AEW fans will likely never forget the cringe-inducing end to Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley’s Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match at Revolution in 2021, where the ring failed to explode, leaving the show going off with a whimper rather than a bang.

Trish Stratus Left With Plumber’s Crack

For female wrestlers, inparticular, however, the thing that can go very wrong for them is often their own gear.

WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus explained to Stephanie McMahon on her What’s Your Story podcast that her retirement match in 2006 left her resembling a plumber rather than WWE Women’s Champion:

The pants were just falling off. I had plumber’s crack the entire time… My ass is showing right now… but that’s a live show for you.

You just have to leave it… You can’t take the audience out of the moment. If my hip was really hurting that much, I would not care that my ass was hanging out. You’re welcome.

[…] Wrestling is hard, guys, okay? But as a woman, we have a lot more to think about. We got things popping out. We got stuff.
