MVP has spoken about his intentions to put The Hurt Business stable back together in WWE.

The Hurt Business group was very successful in WWE during the “pandemic era” when there were no fans in attendance for most of 2020 and the first half of 2021. Bobby Lashley had reigns as the US Champion and WWE Champion during the period where The Hurt Business was together. They also had Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander, who were the Raw Tag Team Champions. Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP) was the mastermind of the group that served as a manager/mentor that sometimes wrestled as well.

There have been teases of the group starting up again along with backstage reports that WWE was likely going to bring the group back. Last November, Bobby Lashley even guaranteed the group’s return.

MVP has made strides in putting The Hurt Business back together since he was at ringside last week on Raw as Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander picked up a big win.

During an interview with Josh Martinez of Superstar Crossover, MVP talked about how WWE’s former creative boss Vince McMahon put an end to The Hurt Business, but he is now hoping to get the group reunited again.

“Vince McMahon makes decisions and that’s way above my pay grade. The decision that he made. Why did he choose to do it? I have no idea. It was his choice, he’s the boss, well at the time, he was the boss and that’s just how things go. We were all scratching our heads but at the end of the day, I’m doing my best to try to get the team back together.”

“Bobby’s being a little stubborn, but I got Shelton and Cedric back on board with me and I’m trying to get Bobby to come around. We’ll see if we can get The Hurt Business back in business.”

Bobby Lashley will have his hands full this coming Monday on Raw when he has a contract signing with Brock Lesnar to make their Elimination Chamber match official. Since Lesnar dropped Lashley with two F5’s on Raw last week, perhaps a call to The Hurt Business could be coming soon.
