“Mommy Did Playboy” – Ex-WWE Diva On Honest Conversation With Daughter

A former WWE Diva recently had to have a candid conversation with her daughter.

Christy Hemme earned a one-year WWE contract after winning the 2004 Diva Search competition. The 45-year-old’s run was brief, as she left in December 2005.

During her time in the Stamford-based company, Hemme posed for Playboy. The Diva Search winner was on the cover of the April 2005 issue.

At the time, Hemme disclosed that Playboy approached her right after she signed with WWE. She then got her dad’s approval and thought it was a good idea, according to an interview with The Ottawa Sun.

When I was 17 and was already doing some photo shoots, my dad told me he didn’t ever want me posing nude. When I was asked to do this, I went to my dad. If he hadn’t given his blessing, I wouldn’t have done it.

The Former WWE Diva Posed For Playboy

During a recent interview with SoCal Val on The Velvet Ropes, Christy Hemme revealed that she recently had to tell her 11-year-old daughter that she had posed for Playboy.

The mother of five recalled being extremely nervous during the conversation.

So, this is something that has been 11 years in the making because my oldest daughter just turned 11 in January and I’m going to be bringing her with me to For The Love Of Wrestling. And this is the first time I’m bringing one of my kids because I realized long ago that for me to bring my child, would mean I would have to explain all of the parts of my career. And within the box of fun that is Christy Hemme, a talent, is Playboy.

So, that means I’m going to have to expalin to whoever said child it’s with me that mommy did Playboy and we would have to have a conversation around it. So, oh my gosh, Val, this conversation was hilarious. I was literally, I don’t remember the last time I’ve been nervous like I was to have a conversation with Charlie Rose. I was sweating. I was, like, breathing, and, like, trying to explain.

I mean, usually I’m pretty composed when I’ve got a lesson or something I want to explain to my children. And with this one, it just wasn’t coming natural. It was a lot of speed bumps. I finally got it out and we had a conversation and we talked through what it was. But it was interesting. And all that to say, now she can come with me cuz she knows all of the things.
