MJF survived the three other male pillars of AEW at Double Or Nothing as he retained his AEW World Championship but now he has more trouble ahead…baybay.

Adam Cole has seemingly been destined for big things in AEW since he returned to the company following a long spell out due to injury in March 2023.

After picking up a big win of his own at Double Or Nothing where he stopped Chris Jericho in an unsanctioned match, Adam Cole now looks to have set his sights on putting gold around his waist and shutting the mouth of MJF.

On Dynamite in Colorado Springs, MJF took part in his favorite hobby and he discussed how good he was but Cole made his way to the ring to try and shut the champion up.

MJF claimed to be a fan of Cole’s in Ring Of Honor but questioned what he has become before dropping Vince McMahon’s name and claiming that McMahon was right in not seeing a main event star in the former NXT Champion.

Cole responded as things got personal and eventually tried to turn his back on the champion after telling him that he was better than him and the fans all knew it. An enraged MJF agreed to face Cole in a match but no time or place was set there and then.

Later in the broadcast, it was revealed that MJF and Adam Cole will face off for the first time ever on the 14th of June edition of Dynamite in an AEW World Title Eliminator. That means that if Cole defeats the champion he will earn a title shot at some point in the future.
