Vince McMahon Name Dropped On AEW Dynamite

Vince McMahon WWE

Vince McMahon might be the man who has led WWE for over 40 years but the Executive Chairman’s name is so ubiquitous in the pro wrestling world that one AEW star invoked it on Dynamite.

McMahon might have been responsible for turning WWE into a global powerhouse but there is no doubt a sense that McMahon’s legacy is tainted following accusations of sexual assault that have dogged him over the years and caused him to briefly walk away from his company in July 2022.

While Vince McMahon’s name might still receive some cheers in WWE arenas, it certainly will not in front of an AEW crowd and it seems AEW World Champion MJF knew exactly that when he dropped McMahon’s name on Dynamite.

MJF had been confronted by Adam Cole who grew tired of the champion’s crowing following his successful title defence at Double Or Nothing. MJF sought to get under Cole’s skin by referring to speculation that McMahon wanted to turn Cole into Keith Lee’s manager on the WWE main roster since he didn’t see main roster star potential in Cole himself.

Adam Cole simply laughed off MJF’s claims while the AEW crowd in Colorado Springs let their feelings be known when McMahon’s name was mentioned as they chanted “f*ck that guy.”

The segment set up a huge AEW World Title Eliminator between MJF and Adam Cole which will take place on the 14th of June edition of Dynamite.
