MJF Blasts WWE’s The Bloodline While Promoting Match Against Family Member

MJF

MJF isn’t mincing words ahead of his upcoming match against a member of WWE’s The Bloodline.

The Bloodline in WWE consists of the “Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns, The Usos – Jimmy & Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa, and their family legacy. Roman’s late father, Sika, and late uncle, Afa, were part of the foundation that established The Bloodline as a big factor in the pro wrestling world. The Rock is also part of The Bloodline, so there are a lot of big names involved in the group.

Eddie Fatu was a cousin of Roman Reigns and the brother of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi, who is the father of The Usos and Solo. Sadly, Umaga died in 2009, so he never got to see his Zilla Fatu wrestle. Zilla has been wrestling for about three years and hopes to join WWE someday.

AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) wrestles outside of AEW sometimes and even puts the World Title on the line. Friedman will do it again at the House of Glory event on February 20th when he faces Zilla Fatu.

During a promo hyping up the match against Zilla, MJF blasted Zilla by also trashing his family heritage in The Bloodline.

“I just beat Brody King, and I want one more tune up match before I beat Hangman at Revolution. Zilla Fatu. People think you’re next up. People think you have the potential to be the next big Samoan sensation like The Rock, like Roman, big shoes to fill my friend!

“You know what I think? I think you’re just another Samoan nepo baby back bi**h, and I’m gonna prove it. I’m coming to House of Glory and putting the grandest prize of them all, the Triple B, the AEW World Championship, on the line. My friend, when this match is over you’ll be done getting on your hands and knees praying to the Tribal Chief and you’re gonna have to start praying to Big Hebrew. A man who is more talented than your entire Family Tree will ever be.

“When I’m through with you, your Uncle Rikishi is gonna cry on his podcast. Your cousin Jey’s no longer gonna have the ability to Yeet, and there won’t be a single woman on God’s green Earth who will be willing to touch your meat. Because I’m a generational talent. I’m the greatest wrestler on God’s green Earth, because my name, Zilla, is Maxwell Jacob Friedman and I’m better than you, and on February 20 at House of Glory, my God, you’re gonna know it!” (H/T Wrestletalk)

MJF Will Face Familiar Rival At AEW Revolution

At the AEW Grand Slam Australia event on February 14th, MJF successfully defended the AEW World Title against Brody King in a great match. It was redemption for Friedman since he lost to King two weeks later due to a distraction.

Also at Grand Slam Australia, former 2-time AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page beat Andrade El Idolo in a number one contender’s match. The win by Hangman means he’ll challenge for the AEW World Title at Revolution on March 15th.

After MJF’s World Title match, “Hangman” Adam Page walked out to the ring to confront the champion. Page had the contract for their Revolution AEW World Title match on March 15th. MJF held up the AEW World Title. Page teased a punch, MJF bumped into the mat, and then Page left. It was mind games, showing that perhaps MJF is scared of his rival, Page.
