MJF Warns Current AEW Champion To Stay Away From Him
MJF has sent a stern warning to another current champion in AEW.
MJF recaptured the AEW Men’s World Championship back at Worlds End 2025 when he dethroned Samoa Joe in a four-way match that included Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland.
The Salt of the Earth held onto his title by the skin of his teeth at Grand Slam Australia when he defeated Brody King, but it seems King is not down with the AEW World Champion by any stretch. Adam Page is also waiting on MJF after Page defeated Andrade El Idolo in Australia as well. Page will get his chance to win the top male title in AEW at Revolution, but it remains to be seen if MJF will still be holding the gold by then, as he is set to defend his title against a real-life member of The Bloodline.
MJF Threatens To Spank Kyle Fletcher
Speaking to the Kairouz Bros, MJF was asked to name the best Australian wrestler in the world right now, and he looked to another champion in AEW:
Kyle Fletcher. Now, here’s the thing, though, about Kyle Fletcher. He just won the TNT Title. And the TNT Title, it’s defended by very serious, hardcore workrate guys that want to go in there, show people watching at home that bell-to-bell, they’re these incredible athletes. The World Title [is] for main eventers. Top stars, top acts, mega stars that can do this in their sleep. Shill and thrill to get people’s eyes on our product, on All Elite Wrestling.
And with that in mind, MJF had a word of warning to Fletcher to make sure he doesn’t look twice at the AEW Men’s World Champion:
I think Kyle Fletcher is a tremendous professional wrestler. But I think there’s a reason he has not brought my name up and not brought up the AW World Title. And it’s because he knows deep down — you know, Lance Storm was good. Dean Malenko was good.
And you know, Kyle’s a cute kid. But I’ve beaten him already, and I just hope he continues to keep my name out of his mouth. Because if my name ever comes out of his mouth, I’m going to have to bend him over my knee and spank him.
