MJF Spoke About WWE Hall Of Famer With Adam Sandler

The hype surrounding Happy Gilmore 2 has entered the wrestling industry.

It was announced that a few WWE and AEW talents would cap off the star cast, with Hollywood megastar Adam Sandler reprising his role from the 1996 flick.

One of the wrestlers starring in the movie is former AEW World Champion MJF.

This is Maxwell’s third venture into films, having previously acted in the 2023 biographical movie The Iron Claw and voiced Killer Croc in a Warner Bros. animated movie.

What’s also known is Sandler’s love for wrestling, which paved the way for him and MJF to discuss a WWE Hall of Famer.

During a recent interview with ScreenCrush, the 29-year-old shared that they spoke about wrestling.

We talked about his love for Andre the Giant for a while. And that was a fun day on the set, for sure.

Adam starts talking about it, then another person, and now all of a sudden everyone’s got a wrestling story. People you wouldn’t expect. Pro golfers have a wrestling story. Kyle has a wrestling story. [Happy Gilmore 2 co-writer Tim] Herlihy has a wrestling story. The producers have a wrestling story. Pro wrestling brings people together, it really does.

While promoting his movie Murder Mystery 2, Adam Sandler had spoken about watching Andre the Giant live as a kid.

MJF Is All Praise For Becky Lynch

They might be rivals working for different promotions, but MJF and Becky Lynch’s mutual respect is not surprising.

During a recent episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast, the one-time AEW World Champion heaped praises on ‘The Man’ while belittling her SummerSlam opponent, Lyra Valkyria.

I’m a big fan of Becky Lynch. Hate that Lyra (Valkyria) girl. I agree with Becky. [Lyra] stinks. I’m a staunch Becky Lynch supporter. If you have an issue with Becky Lynch, I have an issue with you. Not into this Lyra chick. Something is up with her. She’s probably a bad person.

For the first time, SummerSlam will be a two-night event, scheduled for August 2 & 3.
