Becky Lynch’s WWE SummerSlam Challenger Revealed On Raw

Becky Lynch now knows exactly who she’ll have to defend her WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title against at SummerSlam.

Becky Lynch has had a whole new attitude since returning to WWE at WrestleMania 41 as Bayley’s replacement in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match. Lynch teamed with Lyra Valkyria to win the gold, but one night later on Raw, the pair lost the title back to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

Becky Lynch immediately turned on Valkyria and later admitted that she’d been the one to attack Bayley, taking her out of the WrestleMania match. Lynch went on to defeat Lyra Valkyria for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship at Money In The Bank, and now she knows who’ll be coming after that gold at SummerSlam.

Becky Lynch Faces Familiar SummerSlam Opponent

On the July 14th edition of Raw, Lyra Valkyria and Bayley did battle in a two-out-of-three falls match with the winner getting to challenge Lynch for the title. Bayley won the first fall, but Valkyria then captured two in a row to win the match, as Michael Cole drew attention to Bayley’s losing streak with the Role Model not picking up a win since April.

The title match with Becky Lynch will be Lyra Valkyria’s SummerSlam debut. Lynch was last on that show all the way back in 2022, where she lost a Raw Women’s Title match against Bianca Belair.
