MJF Has Had No Contact With Anyone In AEW Since Pipe Bomb Promo

After delivering his now infamous pipebomb in June, it would seem MJF has cut off all communication with anyone from the wrestling industry.

Speculation had been circling for a while that MJF was not happy in AEW and was looking for a move to WWE when his contract expired, even mentioning it during interviews. This ramped up when there was talk that he wasn’t going to show up for his match with Wardlow at Double Or Nothing 2022.

Although he did the match, the following Wednesday on AEW MJF launched a tirade of abuse directed at everyone – be they fans, the company’s former WWE talent, his other co-workers and then in particular Tony Khan, who he threatened to “fire me you f*cking mark”.

His microphone was then quickly cut, and the show went to an ad break making no reference of what had just happened for the rest of the show. His merchandise was then also swiftly removed from sale, as well as his profile being taken down from the roster page of the AEW website.

A new report from Fightful Select has commented on how there has been no contact between MJF and anyone else in the wrestling world since 1st June.

The report notes that it is both AEW talent and staff, including those close to him, who have had no contact from the want-away star.

It has been said that MJF stayed in Los Angeles following his appearance on Dynamite, however this was to have meetings for non-wrestling related projects. There were also reports last week that he had been spotted with the cast members of Impractical Jokers in New Jersey, which airs on TruTV owned by Warner Brothers. However, at this stage there has been no confirmation he was actually filming for the show.

Fightful Select also comments that those they spoke to in AEW have not heard Tony Khan mention MJF since the promo took place. It is also believed nobody in wrestling has spoken to him since that date, and that he may still be angling for a move to WWE rather than this all eventually coming out as a storyline.
