Tony Khan Will Not Discuss MJF

MJF

With Forbidden Door now in the books, the wrestling world looks to what’s next for AEW but one subject Tony Khan still won’t talk about is MJF.

AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling presented Forbidden Door from the United Center in Chicago on the 26th of June and it is a show that is sure to live long in the memory of those who witnessed it.

The main event saw Jon Moxley keep the AEW World Championship solely in the domain of AEW as he defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi to become the Interim AEW World Champion. Thunder Rosa kept hold of her AEW Women’s World Title as she saw off the challenge of Toni Storm.

It was a huge night for FTR as Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler defeated both United Empire and Roppongi Vice in a winner take all match for the ROH and IWGP Tag Team Championship. Meanwhile, a new title has its first champion as PAC defeated Clark Connors, Miro, and Malakai Black to become the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Champion.

With all that success for AEW stars, Tony Khan refused to be drawn on the future of controversial star MJF. MJF hasn’t been seen on AEW programming since challenging Khan to fire him in an expletive-laden rant on Dynamite.

At the post-Forbidden Door media scrum, Tony Khan thought the subject of MJF was fair to bring up but it’s not something he’s going to talk about:

“I am, especially after the great show we did, I’m not going to comment on it, but it’s a fair question to ask. I’m not going to cover that one right now.”
