Surprising Reason Why MJF Doesn’t Want To Face Roman Reigns

MJF

MJF was recently asked whether he would face Roman Reigns in a singles match, and his answer was a clear no.

Maxwell and Reigns are two of the biggest stars in their respective promotions, with Maxwell currently reigning as the AEW World Champion and Reigns being the former WWE Undisputed Champion.

During a recent interview on Compass On The Beat, MJF was asked if he would like to face Roman Reigns in the hypothetical scenario where AEW and WWE ever open the “forbidden door.”

The AEW World Champion responded by saying that facing Reigns would be a “conflict of interest” due to his relationship with Paul Heyman, and because of that, he would not want to wrestle Reigns.

“Oh, Roman Reigns? Well, look, there is kind of a conflict of interest there because me and Paul Heyman are kind of DL related, so I don’t know if I’d be able to go through with that. I’d feel weird about hurting somebody that he made so much money off of.

However, Maxwell added that he would love to face Seth Rollins. He also said that he would love to “beat the sh*t out of” CM Punk.

CM Punk Open To Doing A Romance Angle With Roman Reigns

CM Punk recently shared a very different and interesting take regarding Roman Reigns. In an interview with SiriusXM Radio, Punk stated that he would be open to doing an unorthodox on-screen romance storyline with one of his biggest rivals, Reigns.

Punk’s comment came in response to a question about HBO Max’s popular show Heated Rivalry, which features two male hockey rivals who secretly fall in love.

“I feel like there’s a huge untapped market. There’s fan fiction out there, ladies and gentlemen. I’m in a lot of it. I think it’s an untapped market. I think Heated Rivalry did so well, and it kind of touched on maybe taboo subjects. I think we could run that in WWE. I mean, look at all the guys that are in love with me: Seth [Rollins], Roman, it’s kind of endless.”
