Male WWE Star Shockingly Teases On-Screen Romance With Roman Reigns
A WWE star has expressed interest in doing an on-screen romance storyline with Roman Reigns, and that star is none other than Reigns’ WrestleMania opponent, CM Punk.
The Tribal Chief won this year’s Men’s Royal Rumble in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and punched his ticket to WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
On the following episode of Monday Night Raw, Reigns cut a fiery promo stating that he hates CM Punk, which is why he chose him as his WrestleMania opponent this year.
As a result, CM Punk and Roman Reigns are set to clash at WrestleMania 42 for Punk’s World Heavyweight Championship.
CM Punk Says Roman Reigns Is In Love With Him
Ahead of their WrestleMania showdown, CM Punk appeared on SiriusXM Radio, where he was asked about a popular HBO Max series, Heated Rivalry, which centers on two male hockey rivals who secretly develop a romantic relationship.
Punk commented that, given how successful and profitable the TV series has been, WWE should also explore more taboo and unconventional storylines. He added that there is a large fan-fiction community that would love to see something unorthodox like that in WWE.
Punk jokingly said he would be open to playing a male-on-male romance angle, potentially with Roman Reigns or Seth Rollins, two of his biggest rivals in WWE.
“I feel like there’s a huge untapped market. There’s fan fiction out there, ladies and gentlemen. I’m in a lot of it. I think it’s an untapped market. I think Heated Rivalry did so well, and it kind of touched on maybe taboo subjects.”
“I think we could run that in WWE. I mean, look at all the guys that are in love with me: Seth [Rollins], Roman [Reigns], it’s kind of endless.”
Punk framed the comment as a dig at both men, implying that their hatred for him is so intense that they can’t stay away from him, almost like a romantic obsession.
